Jewelry should be simple & understated, once again so attention is not detracted from the face.

Women being photographed in full length should wear long skirts, pants, or dark stockings in order to keep the eye from being directed towards the legs and away from the face.

Couples should choose simple garments within the same tonal range. If one of you wears a dark tone and the other wears a light tone, it creates visual confusion, as one subject appears to come forward and the other recedes.

In a Family group, proper clothing coordination is especially critical. When selecting clothing for a group portrait, choose clothing in the same tonal ranges so that no single family member stands out because the clothing is too light or bright as compared to the rest of the group.

Bare feet are okay if they are in keeping with the visual intent of the portrait.

For Executive Publicity Portraits, business attire is recommended. Headshots are typically from the waist up.

In general, men should have their hair cut a week before the shoot. Women should be photographed whenever they are happiest with their hair in relation to the time it is styled.

And, of course, your pets should look their very best! Is there a treat, object, or special sound I can use to get their attention when I'm ready to shoot a picture?
